Explain to me how I’m able to download tonight’s episode of Alias an hour before it airs on the east coast?
We must be letting the Brits watch our shows before we get them.
How come we don’t get The Office over here?

My first recall for my Ford Escape…
What is the issue? Your vehicle may exhibit an intermitten engine quit and restart condition due to calibration errors within certain system hardware. This condition is most likely to occur while decelerating under 40 miles per hour, and could result in your vehicle being involved in a crash without warning.
What will Ford and your dealer do? Install a big flashing red light to warn you before you are about to crash due to this issue. Because everyone knows its just rude to be in a crash without warning.
Yes, I do know how to pump my own gas… but, I didn’t learn until after about a year of driving., and i’m still a bit awkward when I do it. Never understood the “pay before you pump” thing either…

With the emergence of instant messaging, the way we communicate has changed dramatically. In my job, I would be totally lost without IM. At any given time I have from 2 to 10 conversations open with my global team that can extend all the way around the world. This also means that you never know who is going to ping you with a question, because all they need to do is look you open in the directory to get your IM address (which is the same as our email address).
It’s really useful for being able to debug problems, as we can paste whole log files into the chats, invite others, and keep logs of our chats. The really interesting side effect of keeping logs is when you start chatting about “other” things. Of course this can range from news, tv, politics, to much less “work appropriate” discussions.
Anyway, my point was going to be that it’s also really easy to “share” a conversation and not here it first hand in the usual “He Said, She Said” manner. A simple cut and paste, and you know the whole story… with timestamps.
So lots of changes on the site today. I converted from Movable Type to WordPress. Why? Because that’s the kind of thing I like to do. Plus WordPress is written in PHP (which I prefer over Perl) and it’s GPL.
So things may definitely be a little wacky for a few days. And I’ve definitely broken most of my perma-links (oh well). Let me know if you find anything obviously broken.
Ever since I’ve started using an RSS Aggregator, and ever since I converted to Bloglines, I’ve noticed something…
I don’t compulsively reload Slashdot all day.
Now I compulsively reload Bloglines all day.
It’s like the “patch” for Slashdot addicts.
Possible conversations that occurred after sending this picture:
1. Oh shit! I mistyped the address and I don’t know who I sent it to.
2. I’ll send this picture to give my stalking activities a new challenge!

(I got a random picture message on my mobile phone… I’m guessing it was a wrong number… but it’s definitely weird. Or it’s the next form of spam. I have no idea who those people are.)
