Move along

April 8, 2008 by dnachman

You won’t see many updates here, as I’ve moved over to a Tumbler blog. I’ll probably leave this around for the archives.

So now www.nachman.org will point you over to blog.nachman.org which is where you can at least find some updates.

Update your feeds if you want.

I’ll update more later. At least this will give me a place to start.

So few posts, so much time

Yes, I rarely post here. Lack of enthusiasm.

I’m going to try to use the tumblr in the sidebar to show random stuff. We’ll see how that goes.

Don’t give up on me yet though :)

I reached my weight loss goal

April 11, 2006 by dnachman

Today I finally reached my weight loss goal and I now weigh 168 lbs, having lost 70 lbs. (you do the math).  I’ve been working on this since January of last year.  It took a lot of will power, determination, Weight Watchers at work, and the gym.  Once I maintain my weight for a few weeks, I’ll be a lifetime member :)

MacGuyver moment

April 3, 2006 by dnachman

I got kicked out of the gym tonight.  Truthfully, we all did, as they had a power failure, and they mentioned something about heavy weights and machines with no lights was a bad thing.  Most of us were pretty pissed, and I had only been there for 20 minutes.  What was really interesting was trying to leave and get our things out of lockers with no lights.   I used the backlight from my Ipod to shine enough light to do my combination lock.  Most other people were using their cell phones.  But luckily I had one of those LED lights on my keychain, so once I opened the locker I could see again and help out a few people.  Yes, some people made fun of it, but it sure came in handy!  Thank you, Brookstone.

Accomplishments

Last night at yoga I managed to get a position I had been working on for almost 9 months now…   Crow pose to a tripod headstand with feet in the air.  Inversions are so much fun!

Other than the normal excuses of why I don’t post here much, I’ve been focusing more on “life” and living it.

And I’m within 5 pounds of my weight loss goal, having lost 65 pounds since this time last year.

Which genius

July 5, 2005 by dnachman

Which genius decided it was cool to put a button-fly on boxer shorts? Is this level of protection really needed? Is it some conspiracy to prevent quick-draw whipping it out?

Extra credit: Using the above logic, apply a biometric reader instead of a button.

Nine times?

Wake up and smell the coffee, Mrs. Bueller.

Well today is my 9 year anniversary with Big Blue. Been a good run so far, and I really love my job. Of course, today’s task of “inspecting the models” would be a lot cooler if I were in Hollywood, for instance :) Everything is all relative, as I’ve worked hard to get up to inspecting the models.

In other good news, the Moe’s in Mahwah just opened! Time for a Triple Lindy Burrito :)
